Is Duolingo totally woke

Duolingo language learning, yes, a great resource, but such a pity that political correctness and forcing DEI (diversity, equality and inclusion) down our throats at every possible opportunity.

Learning a language is hard enough without having to have gender-bending to cope with. Different languages have different ways of talking about men and women, Duolingo confuses learners by how it shows people.

Here are a couple of examples . . .

The text on this example reads “My aunt has a [blank]. She is very nice.” The learner has to choose Frau, meaning wife, otherwise the answer is marked wrong. This is really confusing. It’s also offensive to people who believe in Christian Marriage because it forces them to pick answers that they may find offensive.

The text reads “I love my husband” under a picture of a man, again this is offensive to people who believe in Christian Marriage.

The text reads ‘He doesn’t have a boyfriend’ very confusing for learners when under a picture of a man and spoken by a male voice.

These are just some example of how Duolingo forces learners to use politically correct materials.
