Fire sale of assets

Monday, 12 October 2009 07:35

Gordon will today set out his strategy for selling off the 'family silver' to finance continued government handouts.

We have all played Monopoly and got into the situation where we can't pay someone so we have to mortgage and sell our properties at knockdown prices. We know that once you land on an expensive propertly you are lost.

Labour has got Britain into that state now. The country is in huge debt, 175 billion pounds of new money has been printed and now the man who got us into this says we should sell off the remaining government assets at knockdown prices.

Let's look back - who remembers that Gordon received 22 billion pounds from the sale of 3rd generation mobile phone frequencies etc. What happened to that money? It was frittered away and wasted!

Gordon sold the UK gold reserves at less than a quarter of their value today - what happened to that money.

The man is a disaster. His government knows only how to spend, make even more rules and regualations for the the rest of us and how to watch the population with an army of faceless misfits behind CCTV cameras.

We should be on the streets demanding an election now.

Road pricing and greenery - beware the iron hand

Monday, 12 October 2009 07:25

A new report says the UK needs road pricing and rigid enforcement of motorway speed limits and a whole lot more. Beware!

Under Labour the UK has become the most watched nation on earth, our every move watched by an army of faceless snoopers with enormous power over our daily lives. Who has not met someone accused of a trivial offence like crossing into a bus lane or putting out their wheelie bin on the wrong day?

Road pricing would mean a spy in every vehicle. A global poistioning device in your car, van or truck would continuously send details of your exact position to a central government computer. There your exact speed, direction and all the details of your journey would be recorded.

So when the government talks of rigid enforcement of speed limits what they actually mean is that they would send automatic speeding fines. In technical terms this is a trivial task. As soon as your speed goes above the limit the computer will churn out the paperwork and it will be on your doormat as fast as the post office can get it there.

When there are crimes reported you will have to explain what you were doing in the area because the records show your vehicle was there. When you are off work sick you will be questioned about your whereabouts if your car was not at home.

That's what Gordon and his cronies are talking about, and there is precious little anyone will be able to do about it if they get re-elected. If that's the UK you want to live in go ahead and vote for them!

What special relationship

The US seems to be over reacting to the compassionate release of the 'Lockerbie Bomber'. Let's not forget that the US is the country that has written into its constitution a ban on strange or unusual punishments. Fact is the US has people who like strange and unusual punishments even today.

The US likes to meddle in the affairs of other countries - Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam the list goes on.

It's time for the UK to give two fingers to the US and tell them firmly but politely that their comments and interference are not needed. Scotland and the UK have done nothing wrong and need no telling off or lecturing by transatlantics.

Unfortunately our government and government in waiting don't have the balls for it, we need to stand up to the US.

First off we should tell UK citizens not to visit the US or buy their products. The US understands only one thing - money. Don't give it to them!
