So Tony McNulty gets to keep £60,000 of his ill-gotten gains after returning nearly £14,000 to the taxpayer. If that had been you or I we would have been arrested and had the book thrown at us. There is no doubt that we would have been prosecuted, fingerprinted and our DNA put for ever onto this government's database. We would have been lucky to escape being put on all manner of secret databases and registers.

McNulty is however in George Orwell speak 'a member of the inner party' one who is part of the choosen elite. His only punishment is that he has to stand up and say sorry. It's rather like being a naughty child, all you have to do is say sorry. You don't even have to mean it. All that is important is that you say it. Most of us learn that pretty early in life and in McNulty's case he's able to use that skill now after taking the taxpayer for thousands.

This is not good enough. Where is his integrity? What kind of person is he?

We have telephone lines where we can report benefit cheats and they get 'dealt with' it's sad to see that MPs are still getting away free when they should have been sacked on the spot.

This comes back to our un-elected weak leader, the sooner we are without them all the better, but the cost will be paid by our grandchildren.
