£8.8 million bonuses but only £4.3 for bee research and protection

Where does this labour government's priorities lie?

Today £4.3 million pounds was announced for research and protection of bees, over the next two years, while on the same day a staggering £8.8 million was paid in bonuses to the 4,000 staff of Northern Rock for paying back our taxpayer's money.

If you work that out it means that Northern Rock staff are getting far more than an research into bees, which provide honey and pollination services that can't be done any other way. With beekeeping this government has totally missed the boat.
