Firms to reveal complaints data
Friday, 10 July 2009 07:00

The Financial Services Authority, FSA, proposes that companies will have to reveal data about complaints - why stop there?

What customers really need is to know about complaints against all companies and businesses. Included in businesses are doctors, dentists and hospitals.

When customers are picking a solicitor to help with their house purchase or sale they need to know if there are outstanding complaints against that solicitor, and if there were previous complaints how they were resolved. It's just the equivalent of waiting around outside a restaurant and asking people coming out what they thought of the meal.

Government needs to get it's head around this one and give customers so real help.
