Good money after bad

The propsal to give £12,000 to the families of everyone killed during the troubled period of history in Northern Ireland is good money after bad.

It does nothing but dig up memories, cause problems because the rest of the population has to pay for this maddness and it just looks like another handout at the taxpayer's expense.

Far better to draw matters to a close and let sleeping dogs lie.

No good will come of this, only more argument and dissent.
