More misery for England

Amazing as it sounds, only England out of the whole of Great Britain, pays prescription charges.

How is it that devolved parts of the union can pay for things like this, but the bulk of us are still saddled with these costs?

Has it anything to do with having Scottish MPs voting at Westminster and keeping England paying while they don't pay in Scotland, Wales, and now Northern Ireland?

One thing it does show is that these parts of the country have politicians who listen to the people and take note. There's one way for the rest of us in England to make sure our message gets throught to politicians, and my guess is that we will get our say quicker than we expect. Then it's time to get into that polling booth and make sure we put our cross against the local conservative or tory candidate.
