Government
Who is in control and what are their motives and what are they setting out to do? When we think about government and politicians we should ask ourselves 'Who do these people serve?'. Are they in government to serve the people who elected them, or to dictate to the electorate how they should behave and live their lives. Most politicians will tell you that they entered politics to 'make a difference' to 'get things done' to 'serve the people'.
However, when you look at how they behave once elected you don't often see those things happening. In general they forget what they promised and impose their ideas on the people. Here are just a few examples . . .
- University tuition fees
- New car taxes that will make over 9 million worse off
- Increase in the pension age - more stealth taxation
- Overall tax increases
- Total incompetence in dealing with the nation's money
Companies
We all buy goods and services from organisations ranging from one-man businesses up to the UK's National Health Service - the largest employer in europe. We need to be more ready to complain and tell these organisations that we are not happy with what they do when that is the case. Only then will they know and be able to do something about the situation.

Can airport security staff assault passengers?

Is it possible for security staff at airports to assault passengers?This is a question that needs to be answered urgently by the UK Department of Transport. Millions of passengers travel through UK airports each year and every one of them is subjected to security searches. Every passenger who triggers the metal detector is 'body searched' which means that a security person of the same sex feels them.
How is the passenger to complain when they experience innapropriate pressure on parts of their body or fingers and other parts of the searcher being placed within their clothes?
This is a serious matter that needs immediate clarification.
Trust in me - I have all the answers
Some people are cynical about politicians and joke about it . . .

I suggest that it comes down to trust.
There is no longer any trust between the people and the government.
